A wide arc of white sand on the south coast at Rockley, Accra is one of the busiest and best-equipped beaches on the island. The water is generally calm enough for families while still offering enough swell for boogie boards and casual surf lessons. A paved promenade runs along the back of the beach, lined with vendors selling cut fruit, jewellery, and rum punch, and the adjacent Tiki Bar and Accra Beach Hotel give easy access to food, drinks, and loungers. It's a quick hop from Bridgetown, well served by buses, and a reliable first stop for visitors who want full facilities rather than a hidden cove.
