La Baguette is a small French bakery opposite the Massy supermarket in Worthing on the south coast, run by a French boulanger. The shelves turn over several times a day with baguettes, sourdough, croissants, pain au chocolat, tarts and quiches, along with sandwiches made to order on fresh bread. It has a loyal following among French, European and local residents who want proper laminated pastry without a hotel mark-up. Open early in the morning through the middle of the day; best items tend to disappear before lunchtime.
