Round House

Caribbean · St. Joseph

Rating: 4.6 / 5

The Round House is a small inn and restaurant perched above Tent Bay in Bathsheba, looking straight down at the famous Soup Bowl surf break. The stone-built building is around 150 years old and has long been a favourite east-coast stop for travellers driving the rugged Atlantic coast. The kitchen serves Caribbean-continental plates — fish cakes, grilled catch, pumpkin soup, curries — through the day, with dinner by reservation only. It is as much about the view and the raw Atlantic setting as about any single dish, and a lunchtime drive out for a pumpkin soup and a Banks is a standard Barbadian day out.
