Foul Bay

South East · St. Philip

Rating: 4.4 / 5

Foul Bay's unfortunate name belies one of the prettiest stretches of sand on the south-east coast — a long, near-empty crescent beneath coral cliffs just north of The Crane. The sand carries the same pinkish tint as neighbouring Crane Beach, and the backdrop of cliffs and scattered fishing boats makes it one of the most photogenic beaches in St. Philip. Currents can be strong and there are no lifeguards, so swimming calls for care. There are no facilities either — bring water and snacks. Turn off Highway 5 at Rices and follow the track down to the shore.
