The Celtic Festival Barbados celebrates the island's often-overlooked Irish and Scottish heritage, a strand of Bajan history that runs back to the indentured labour and planter migrations of the 17th century. Held each May, the multi-day programme includes traditional music and dance, pipe bands, lectures on Caribbean-Celtic history, genealogy workshops and social nights at venues across the island.
