The Nidhe Israel Chanukah celebration is an annual December gathering at the historic Nidhe Israel Synagogue in Bridgetown, one of the oldest synagogues in the Americas, with origins in the 1650s when Sephardic Jewish settlers arrived on the island. The event includes a public menorah lighting, traditional music, readings and community refreshments inside the beautifully restored synagogue compound, which also houses the Nidhe Israel Museum.
