Earthworks Pottery is the best-known ceramic studio in Barbados, tucked into the hills at Edghill Heights in St. Thomas. The working studio, founded by Goldie Spieler, produces a distinctive range of hand-thrown and hand-painted functional ware in blues, greens and turquoises that has become almost synonymous with Bajan craft. Visitors can watch potters at the wheel and decorators at work before browsing the on-site shop, which also stocks other local artists. The neighbouring Callaloo Gallery adds jewellery, textiles and fine art.
