Caribbean Premier League · CPL · T20

Rating: 4.9 / 5

The Barbados Royals are the island's franchise in the Caribbean Premier League, the region's flagship T20 competition. Based at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, the Royals play under lights in front of passionate home crowds during the August to October CPL season. The franchise carries the mantle of Barbados cricket, the same tradition that produced Sobers, Worrell, Hall, Greenidge and Haynes, and routinely signs marquee international players alongside Bajan stars. Part of the Rajasthan Royals ownership group, the team has helped grow the women's WCPL alongside the men's tournament.

Cricket is Barbados. Kensington Oval has hosted World Cup finals, and the island has produced some of cricket's greatest players including Sir Garfield Sobers and Hayley Matthews. Beyond cricket, Barbados offers horse racing at the historic Garrison Savannah, world-class surfing at Bathsheba, polo at Holders, rugby, football, and the Sol Rally — one of the biggest motorsport events in the Caribbean.
