Rating: 5 / 5

The Barbados Surf Pro is a World Surf League Qualifying Series event held at the legendary Soup Bowl in Bathsheba on the Atlantic east coast. Powerful reef-break swells, dramatic rock formations and warm Caribbean water draw top international surfers competing for ranking points, while the beach setting and free spectator access make it one of the most accessible pro surf events anywhere. The contest normally runs in the autumn swell window when Bathsheba fires at its best, attracting talent from across the Americas and a strong Bajan contingent.

About sports in Barbados

Cricket is Barbados. Kensington Oval has hosted World Cup finals, and the island has produced some of cricket's greatest players including Sir Garfield Sobers and Hayley Matthews. Beyond cricket, Barbados offers horse racing at the historic Garrison Savannah, world-class surfing at Bathsheba, polo at Holders, rugby, football, and the Sol Rally — one of the biggest motorsport events in the Caribbean.
